This deck plays like a controlled explosion. Raging Bolt ex's Burst Roar discards your entire hand for 6 fresh cards — a cost that becomes the engine when your discard pile is full of Basic Energy and Teal Mask Ogerpon ex is ready to dance it back onto the board.
The Core Cards
- Raging Bolt ex — Basic Dragon, 240 HP, from Temporal Forces. Attacks: Burst Roar, Bellowing Thunder.
- Teal Mask Ogerpon ex — Basic Grass, 210 HP, from Twilight Masquerade. Ability: Teal Dance; Attacks: Myriad Leaf Shower.
The Game Plan
The loop: Burst Roar to refill and dump Energy, Teal Dance to attach Grass Energy from hand while drawing more, then Bellowing Thunder discards all the Energy attached to your Pokémon for 70 damage apiece. Four Energy cashed in is 280 — enough for almost any Pokémon ex. The deck can take its first big Knock Out shockingly early because neither attacker needs to evolve.

The Prize Map
Every deck should know its own scoreboard. Your flagship, Raging Bolt ex, gives up 2 Prizes when it falls, so the route to six usually runs through it exactly twice, with single-Prize support taking the early trades. The core above is drawn from Temporal Forces, Twilight Masquerade, which is also your shopping list in order: flagship first, evolution line second, support last.
Testing Checklist
- Goldfish test: is Raging Bolt ex in play and powered by turn three in at least 8 of 10 solo runs?
- First-Prize test: which Pokémon takes the first Prize while Raging Bolt ex is still developing?
- Recovery test: after Raging Bolt ex is Knocked Out, who takes the next two Prizes — and is that plan in the deck, or in your hopes?
Budget Roles and Alternatives
Cheaper shells keep the loop and downgrade the closers: other Basic attackers from Temporal Forces can swing while Raging Bolt ex reloads, and any Grass acceleration Basic can imitate a fraction of Teal Dance. What cannot be imitated is the combination — draw, dump, dance, thunder — which is why the pair anchors the deck.
Build the engine first, goldfish the first three turns until they are boring, and only then start swapping in tech. Every deck in this series rewards that order of operations.
