Gardevoir ex is the engine and the payoff in one card. Its Ability, Psychic Embrace, pulls Psychic Energy out of the discard pile and onto your Psychic Pokémon — at the cost of 2 damage counters on each Pokémon you charge up.
What Gardevoir ex Does
Gardevoir ex — Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon from Scarlet & Violet (card #86 of 198), 310 HP, Double Rare. Evolves from Kirlia.
Psychic Embrace (Ability): As often as you like during your turn, you may attach a Basic Psychic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Psychic Pokémon. If you attached Energy to a Pokémon in this way, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon. You can't use this Ability on a Pokémon that would be Knocked Out.
Miracle Force — Cost: Psychic + Psychic + Colorless. Damage: 190. This Pokémon recovers from all Special Conditions.
Weakness: Darkness ×2. Resistance: Fighting -30. Retreat Cost: 2.
Which Decks Want It
Psychic decks built around the Ability are the obvious home: the deck damages its own attackers on purpose, then moves that damage around or converts it into Knock Outs. Any Psychic strategy that discards Energy early wants this card as its late-game battery.

Playing With (and Against) It
Miracle Force hits for 190 and heals Gardevoir ex of all Special Conditions, which makes it a surprisingly durable attacker for a Stage 2. The real skill is pacing: charge only what you can use before the counters add up. Keep its Weakness (Darkness ×2) in mind when you choose your matchups.
By the Numbers
Gardevoir ex is one of 12 Pokémon ex printed at Double Rare in Scarlet & Violet. Its 310 HP ranks #2 among those 12 ex on raw bulk. The Pokémon also appears in Paldean Fates in the card data we track, so compare printings before you settle on a favorite — our comparison series does exactly that for the era's repeat stars. Its hardest printed hit is Miracle Force at 190 damage — the number every Weakness and Resistance calculation in its matchups starts from.
Verdict: Gardevoir ex earns its spotlight in Scarlet & Violet — a card with a clear job, a clear home, and a clear plan for the turns it is on the table. That is more than most cards in any set can say.
