One Basic, eight possible evolutions, every type on the chart. Eevee ex from Prismatic Evolutions evolves into any of the set's Eeveelution ex, and the deck built around it is a toolbox: the right evolution for the matchup in front of you, chosen after you see the opponent's deck.

The Core Cards

  • Eevee ex — Basic Colorless, 200 HP, from Prismatic Evolutions. Ability: Rainbow DNA; Attacks: Coruscating Quartz.
  • Sylveon ex — Stage 1 Psychic, 270 HP, from Prismatic Evolutions. Attacks: Magical Charm, Angelite.
  • Umbreon ex — Stage 1 Darkness, 280 HP, from Prismatic Evolutions. Attacks: Moon Mirage, Onyx.
  • Leafeon ex — Stage 1 Grass, 270 HP, from Prismatic Evolutions. Attacks: Verdant Storm, Moss Agate.
  • Glaceon ex — Stage 1 Water, 270 HP, from Prismatic Evolutions. Attacks: Frost Bullet, Euclase.

The Game Plan

The strategy is information. Scout the opponent's first turns, then evolve Eevee ex into the Eeveelution whose typing hits Weakness or whose attack text answers their board — Sylveon ex for disruption, Umbreon ex for Darkness matchups, and so on through the set's lineup. Tera typing on every evolution adds bench protection while they wait. No other deck in the format changes its identity mid-game like this one.

The Prize Map

Every deck should know its own scoreboard. Your flagship, Eevee ex, gives up 2 Prizes when it falls, so the route to six usually runs through it exactly twice, with single-Prize support taking the early trades. The core above is drawn from Prismatic Evolutions, which is also your shopping list in order: flagship first, evolution line second, support last.

Testing Checklist

  • Goldfish test: is Eevee ex in play and powered by turn three in at least 8 of 10 solo runs?
  • First-Prize test: which Pokémon takes the first Prize while Eevee ex is still developing?
  • Recovery test: after Eevee ex is Knocked Out, who takes the next two Prizes — and is that plan in the deck, or in your hopes?

Budget Roles and Alternatives

A toolbox needs breadth more than depth, so budget builds run one copy of many Eeveelutions rather than playsets of one — the Prismatic Evolutions Eevee ex is the key purchase, and the evolutions can be collected gradually. Each new evolution you add is literally a new deck option.

Build the engine first, goldfish the first three turns until they are boring, and only then start swapping in tech. Every deck in this series rewards that order of operations.
